Learning music can feel confusing at first. There are too many options, too many opinions, and no clear place to begin. Many people want to learn but worry they will waste time, lose motivation, or give up. We understand that concern. Most people don’t struggle because they lack talent — they struggle because they don’t have a clear plan.
We make learning music simple and organized. Lessons are easily adapted to the students level and needs. We focus on clear steps, steady progress, and music the student actually wants to play. Each lesson has a purpose, so students always know what they’re working on and why.
With the right structure and support, learning music starts to feel easier. Students begin playing real songs, not just exercises. Confidence grows as progress becomes visible. Instead of feeling stuck or overwhelmed, students feel motivated and proud of what they can do.
Music becomes something enjoyable and lasting, not another thing to quit. Whether you are starting for the first time or picking music back up, the goal is the same: steady progress and a positive experience. Start with a trial lesson and see how clear, personalized instruction can make learning music feel possible.

We found Supertonic School of Music online and Xavier tried out a lesson and has been going ever since. I would definitely recommend Supertonic School of Music. Xavier has been really focused and has been learning and practicing and it’s been really encouraging throughout the process.

“Definitely check out Supertonic School of Music. Probably the best around honestly and I learned more than I ever could teaching myself. I just enjoy every lesson, every time I go. There’s always something new, something to improve upon, always pushing me to the limit and it’s great fun.”

“I started taking lessons because I felt like I was trapped in a box… Ever since I started taking lessons, I feel like everyday I’m learning things I never even thought I’d be able to do… I feel much more confident.”

“It’s been a really rewarding experience for me… You can start learning guitar on your own and it’s going to be a lot more difficult. You’re going to pick up a lot of bad habits or if you to start out of the gate learning the right way to do it, it saves you a lot of time coming down the road.

“Before, I thought of guitar lessons as very slowly learning, a lot of memorization without any practical use. My perception has changed since taking lessons here, because you’re learning as you’re doing. The thing I enjoy most about coming here about is the easiness that I feel. There’s no judgement as I’m playing.”

Ryan has been a really good guitar teacher because, instead of just giving you everything at once he will give you a lesson step by step so can understand every single part of it. It makes it less confusing for you and you can understand it all. It’s just easier and he makes it all good.

I tried to teach myself using mainly books and a little bit online. I became very discouraged and intimidated by the guitar. After, just one lesson, I felt a lot better about it. We feel comfortable, not afraid to make mistakes or ask questions. It is a really positive experience for both of us.

“The biggest thing that I’ve learned while taking lessons here is how to play cleanly. It’s given me a lot more room on stage to play what I actually want to play and also…I’ve been able to speak more as a musician and not as a guitarist that just only knows the same licks over and over again. It’s allowed me to be more creative in writing.”

“The best thing about guitar lessons here, is that not only are you really learning guitar, you’re learning guitar from someone who actually cares about whether you learn guitar or not.”
Most music schools focus on either private lessons or large group classes where students can get lost in the crowd.
We take a different approach: small group lessons that are fun, engaging, and still highly personal.
Students learn alongside others at a similar age and skill level, which makes lessons more enjoyable, more social, and more motivating—especially for kids and beginners. Instead of practicing alone or feeling pressure, students actually look forward to coming back each week.
At the same time, groups are kept small so every student still gets individual attention, guidance, and feedback during the lesson.
This combination is what makes the biggest difference:
We also offer lessons across multiple instruments, so students can explore guitar, piano, drums, and more depending on their interests.
Our main program is small group lessons, which is where most students get the best results.
We’ve found that beginners and younger students progress faster and stay more motivated in a small group setting because lessons are more engaging, social, and fun.
That said, if a student has specific needs or goals, we can discuss options during the intro lesson to see what format is the best fit.
Most families choose group lessons once they see how they work in practice.

No, our groups are intentionally small and organized by age and skill level so students are always learning at the right pace for them.
Every student still gets individual attention during the lesson, including feedback and guidance tailored to their level.
We also structure lessons so students can progress at different speeds within the same group. This means advanced students stay challenged, and newer students still feel supported.
In most cases, students actually progress faster in groups because they stay more engaged, motivated, and consistent compared to practicing alone.
Our programs are customized based on each student’s goals, experience level, and schedule, so pricing varies.
We are not the cheapest option in town—we focus on high-quality, structured lessons that actually move students forward, not just casual weekly sessions.
Most families choose us because they want clear progress, consistency, and a program their child stays engaged in.
The best way to get exact pricing is to book a free intro lesson so we can understand your goals and recommend the right fit.
Most programs start form anywhere between $177 a month for 30m/wk and $297 a month for 60m/wk
Not at all. We work with complete beginners all the way to advanced students.
Most of our students start with little or no experience. We meet them where they are and build confidence step by step so they actually enjoy learning instead of feeling overwhelmed.
We primarily work with kids, teens, and adults who are serious about having fun and learning music in a structured environment.
For younger beginners, we focus on keeping lessons fun, engaging, and confidence-building so they stay motivated long-term.
It depends on the student’s goals and consistency.
Some students are playing simple songs within weeks. Others are building long-term musicianship skills over months and years.
Real musical growth comes from consistency over time, and we focus on building that foundation so students don’t stall or quit early.
The goal is steady progress, not pressure or overwhelm.
Most students take one lesson per week. This provides enough consistency to make steady progress without overwhelming their schedule.
For faster growth, some students choose additional practice support or more frequent lessons depending on availability and goals.
We’ve seen that more lessons during the week gives much more support and motivation and the student processes more rapidly.

“I’m 14yrs old and have been taking lessons for a year and a half. My favorite thing about lessons was how in-depth it was and how patient the instructors are.”

I needed a couple of things one of which was direction and I’ve gotten a lot of direction. Another was encouragement and a sense of community and a third, above all else, was discipline and I’ve gotten all three in spades. It is a great return on investment for my time and my effort and my attention and I’ve made some friends that I wouldn’t have otherwise made.

“I’ve been playing for over a year and I’ve been very happy learning here. It’s been awesome! I’m having loads of fun in learning how to play. It’s exillerating, it’s awesome! It gives you a lot of confidence in your playing ability.”

I think it can be really daunting when you start thinking about all the things you have to learn, but really - it’s quite simple to get started and to make progress really fast. You can learn a song or two and really begin to create the knowledge of how the guitar works and put all the pieces together. It comes together really quickly and really fun, stress free environment.

I found myself struggling and becoming frustrated with not progressing. I would turn to the internet to try to find answers and wasn’t getting the results I want to see. I see far more progress being in class and having someone to ask questions to and get feedback from. My confidence is so much better and my skills are there and I can finally play complete songs for people and even have a choice of ones to play. I think that you’ll definitely find that it’s worth the time, the effort. I guarantee you it’s 100% worth it.

I’ve been playing guitar for 3 years and taking lessons for the past year. I’m formerly a saxophone player and a drummer. I really enjoyed how lessons were tailored to my particular interests. This is not pre-baked, cookie-cutter guitar lessons for students. Through guitar lessons I’ve really improved a lot in technique, understanding the fretboard, and other areas and have learned how to apply it to what I am playing.

Taking lessons here has been very motivational. You don’t just get the knowledge, you have someone cheering you on and getting you over the bumps. It’s the most helpful thing you could have, a trainer that motivates you to do it. I went from zero knowledge to playing a show in front of a big group of people. Huge confidence boost from then to now. I was the quiet person, like 'I don’t want to play too loud because you might hear that I don’t know how to play', and now I’m the noisy kid.
