At Supertonic School of Music, we believe music is much more than just learning a skill — it’s a journey of transformation.
The name Supertonic comes from music itself — it’s the second note in the scale: do – re – mi – fa – so – la – ti – do.
And no, it’s not because we think we’re second-best 😄.
It’s about that first brave step away from what’s familiar (“do”, the tonic) and into something new (“re”, the supertonic) — where growth, creativity, and transformation are brought into reality.
Think about it: if you only sang one note, “do”, it wouldn’t be music. Just a sound.
But as soon as you sing “re”, now you’ve started a melody. Now you have movement. Now you have music and your journey is underway.
That’s what we do here. We help students — kids, teens, and adults — take that step into something new, exciting, and full of possibility.
This is what learning is all about. Curiosity, exploration, creativity, and transformation. It is about being on a journey of fulfillment. To believe something is possible and taking action to support that belief.

At Supertonic, we’re not about being the “best” or beating others. Or pressuring students to be something they are not.
We’re about guiding students through music to become the best version of themselves through music.
We focus on cooperation over competition. It is about taking action and celebrating your growth and the growth of others. This is success!
Having goals and mile-markers of achievement is encouraged, but that’s not the end. Even when you reach a goal, there’s always more to discover. And that brings meaning, direction, and focus.
