How To Play At The Student Concert
Criteria For Performing Includes...
- A positive attitude who works well with others
- Committed to playing in the concert and attending both rehearsals
- Committed to putting in your best effort
Notice it doesn’t say you have to be confident, experienced, or feel like you’re good. Most performers don’t sign up feeling confident, experienced, or that they will be good enough. It’s normal to have doubts, it is the those who overcome the doubts that get the most out of music!
Concert Details
- Every song will be done live with a band. This may include: drums, bass, vocals, guitars, piano, etc. You will get experience of what it’s like to play with a band which will be way more fun and less stressful than playing solo(unless you choose to play solo).
- Parts will be assigned to students to play; rhythm guitar, lead guitar(solos), bass, piano, singing, etc. This will be determined by your instructors.
- All performers will use the same equipment on stage(except guitars). This will save a lot of time in the performance and sound better.
- After registration you will automatically be charged $147. This includes…
- 5 tickets to the event to give to family and/or friends. Additional tickets are $25 each.
- The performance entry.
- 2 guided rehearsals on May 9 and 16.
- Professional performance photos
- Soundcheck will be 1hr before the concert(6pm) and all performers are expected to be there.
- The concert will be 7pm Saturday May 17 at Mockingbird Theater. (see photos below)
